Jiberish - Vault (12)
In the summer of 2011, Drew Witmer got to work on the second Jiberish retail location, Vault. Located on the historic Main street of Park City, UT. Vault has a clean linear aesthetic with brilliant white cabinetry and engineered flooring inlays. -
Pine Beetle Kitchen (10)
Teaming up with Pine Beetle Builders we are currently building a kitchen that uses beetle kill in a very modern way. Which color will it be? Come back in February to see it completed. -
Strafe Outterwear (3)
Strafe opened a retail shop and headquarters at the Aspen Highlands Resort. They loved the look of the beetle kill wood and wanted a space that would fit in at the resort and still have a clean feel. What we came up with is a mix of wood and steal that showcases their product beautifully. The project was completed in just 7 days. -
Jiberish (14)
The LoHi concept store was designed to showcase the vibrant colors and original style of Jiberish’s clothing. A classic black, gray, and white color scheme was selected to compliment the pieces. The stores fixtures were sculpted out of 100% locally harvested Colorado Mountain Pine Beetle (MPB) lumber. The beetle has killed approximately 2 million acres of local forests increasing the risk of large uncontrollable forest fires. The MPB lumber has unique blue gray striping left by a non-toxic fungus carried on the beetle’s legs. The final product is a fixture that is not only beautiful but also very sustainable. -
Unity Clothing Boutique (7)
Unity provides eco-friendly clothing and wanted their store to reflect their commitment to the environment and their funky style. J+Clay came up with a design that repurposed 90% of the existing space. The large metal racks that once held eyeglasses would now be the support for the cabinetry and clothing racks. The vertical lines of the Beetle kill walls were broken up with a horizontal band of custom art that wraps around the entire space. Glass shelving was reutilized in the cash wrap and freestanding pedestals. In just over two weeks the space was redesigned into an eco-chic boutique where Unity’s mission can continue to flourish. -
Cohere Shared Office (10)
Drew designed and built several custom furniture pieces for Cohere communal office in Ft. Collins, CO. He designed workstations that encourage networking and nest together to form larger tables. The stations are constructed of sealed MDF, have interesting brushed metal legs, and a Beetle Kill ski style foot. Drew repurposed and old office hutch in the space into two desks, a coffee station, and a beautiful coffee table. He also developed two laptop stations that are sure to be some of the most comfortable working stations ever constructed! -
Concepts (15)
Being creative on projects that only exist in concept keeps us sharp and allow us to test the limits. -
At The Art Institute of Colorado (27)
Drew received his B.A. from the CIDA accredited Art Institute of Colorado in 2008. This gallery showcases the work and skill sets he developed while at the institute.
